The only major downside is that it is only available for iPad users.

However, the downside of this app is its inaccurate and sluggish handwriting recognition. Furthermore, it does not come with an undo option.

WritePad converts your notes into text as you scribble on the screen. The more you use it, the more accurate adapts toy your handwriting. This handwriting-recognition engine can even translate your text into several languages including Spanish, German, French and English. WritePad also comes with an inbuilt calculator. The Android version of this app comes with a virtual keyboard which allows you to handwrite text messages, website URLs and emails.       

5. Smart Writing Tool- 7Notes HD Premium

This app comes with a flexible and attractive interface for converting handwritten notes to text. Users can decide whether to convert their handwriting at a later date or in real time as they write. In addition, the tool offers users suggested words as they write. Just like WritePad, 7Notes HD Premium gives more accurate results of your handwriting the more you use it. Though this app is smooth and responsive, its downside is that you are limited to writing in a zoomed area of your screen.

6. Notability

Notability comes with the common features found in many other note taking apps. However, it also comes with other unique features such as a pencil, highlighter, a zoom mode, a palm rest, PDF annotation and a left hand writing mode. In addition, it has a voice recording feature that syncs text typed with recordings. Notability also allows you to write on your pages in either portrait or landscape mode.
